Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Job Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for meticulously cleaning the residents’ apartments, public areas, and work areas in accordance with community and company guidelines, policies and procedures. They support a safe, comfortable and inviting community with superior customer service and high standards of cleanliness.

Monday – Friday, 6:30AM – 3:30PM, $16–$17 per hour, DOE.

• Perform all housekeeping duties, including cleaning and sanitizing resident apartments, common areas, and offices, focusing on surfaces, fixtures, windows, floors and carpets.
• Dust, fluff, straighten and maintain all furniture in public areas for safety and appearance.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and maintain a clean, hazard‑free workspace, storing equipment after each task.
• Post and remove safety signs as required, monitor and remove all trash and waste from community areas.
• Use personal protective equipment and store supplies and chemicals safely, following safety data sheets and company policy.
• Provide a positive and professional image, greet residents warmly, respond to simple requests, and report any resident needs or repair issues to the appropriate department.
• Assist with laundry services for residents as scheduled or required.
• Understand and comply with all applicable federal, state and local regulations and company policies for housekeeping.
• Encourage teamwork and open communication with co‑workers and other departments.
• Perform other duties as requested by senior leadership or supervising staff.

High‑school diploma or GED preferred.

• Compassion for the elderly and ability to interact with people of diverse ages and backgrounds.
• Experience with hazardous waste and infection control in a resident‑centered environment.
• Age 18 or older; required background clearance, health screening, and TB test within the last 6months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Professional image, strong organizational, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Ability to handle residents with physical, emotional, or cognitive needs with tact and professionalism.

Stand for prolonged periods, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motion. Lift up to 50lbs and push up to 250lbs. Move cleaning equipment and assist residents with routine transfers or emergency situations. Reasonable accommodations provided.
