Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for ensuring that the building and grounds remain clean, safe, and in good working order through regular cleaning, routine maintenance, and minor repair tasks.
Job DutiesMinimum job duties include the following.
- Perform daily janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, breakroom and restroom sanitation.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Complete minor repairs on equipment, lighting, plumbing, and fixtures as needed.
- Support manufacturing operations by maintaining clean and orderly production areas.
- Assist with preventive maintenance schedules and basic mechanical or electrical upkeep.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and facility regulations.
- Report major repair needs or safety issues promptly to the Facilities Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in janitorial or maintenance work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient facility.
HS Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Physical DemandsThis position requires the ability to perform tasks that may include occasional lifting or moving of items up to 50 pounds, as well as periods of standing or walking.
