The Tool Manager I is responsible for tracking all tools and tool related items that will be in the warehouse and in the field using Rosendin approved tracking software.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:Assure Tool Department operations is staffed with qualified personnel.
Manage the shipping and receiving of items that come in and are being returned.
Coordinate with Yard Manager to help distribute the items to the field, or employee, they need to be taken to, or returned from.
Will be responsible for all tool maintenance and to make sure they are in proper and safe working order.
Will be responsible for purchasing and identifying tools to input in Rosendin approved tracking software.
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.
High school diploma or equivalent
Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
General understanding of tool mechanics, repair, and maintenance
Proficient understanding of the requirements of projects and the need to deliver tools on time and in working order to maintain project schedule
Proficient knowledge of techniques for preventing theft
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
Oracle preferred
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Oral and written communication skills as required for the position
Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
