• Performs routine cleaning of offices, church, restrooms, lobbies and corridors as assigned using established practices.
• Collects and disposes of trash, dusts and sanitizes furniture, desks, computers, phones and cleans fixtures, floors, windows and walls.
• Operates and maintains assigned equipment for custodial purposes, including vacuums, brooms, mops and squeegees for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture and windows.
• Performs scheduled duties such as floor waxing, window washing, and carpet cleaning.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Assists with inventory control and reports cleaning supply needs to maintenance staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects and materials up to 50 pounds.

• Performing minor ladder work.

• Possess necessary custodial skills – some janitorial experience preferred.
• General knowledge of janitorial supplies and their applications.
• Ability to perform the physical aspects of the position.
• Self‑motivated and prompt in performing tasks.
• Willingness to support the mission of the parish and the Catholic Church.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
• Strong integrity and honesty.

• Willing to provide authorization to the parish for a criminal background check.
• Willing to participate in a Protecting God’s Children Workshop.
