Maintenance Worker - Athletics

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains athletic fields and sport courts, including dragging and striping fields, setting bases, mowing, weed eating, cleaning restrooms, and trash removal.
• Maintains and repairs area parks and facilities, including mowing, weed eating, edging, tree pruning, play structures, pavilions, fencing, lighting, irrigation systems, sidewalks, parking lots, restroom cleaning, tree planting, and trash removal.
• Operates and performs minor maintenance of mowers, edgers, blowers, trucks, trailers, utility vehicles, infield rake, and hand tools.
• Identifies maintenance repairs and turns in related requests to supervisor.
• Completes and submits required paperwork.
• Assists with preparation of special events, tournaments, and league practices, including set‑up, staging, and clean‑up.
• Ensures City financial policies, procedures, and safety guidelines are followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in maintenance, operating, or related equipment.

• One year experience in landscape, ballfield, horticulture maintenance, or a related field.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications.

• Valid driver’s license.
