Full‑time Janitor – Oliver Springs High School

Location:

Oliver Springs HS – 419 Kingstone Ave, Oliver Springs, TN 37840. Openings at other district locations available.

Schedule:

Full‑time, Monday–Friday. Hours may vary.

$10.00 – $12.00 per hour.

• Prior janitorial experience preferred.

Maintains buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including deep cleaning of floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitizes all surfaces and follows the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for visitors and staff.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
