Dollywood Company is seeking a House and Grounds Technician who helps maintain park cleanliness, sanitizes high touch surfaces, and supports guest and host experiences in alignment with Dollywood’s mission, values, and culture.

Responsibilities- Maintain an aesthetically pleasing, sanitary environment by sweeping and picking up trash in assigned areas, including flower beds and back of house areas
- Clean spills indoors and outdoors on the park premises, including roadways, walkways, landscaped areas, natural settings, and storage areas
- Clean and sanitize high touch surfaces throughout the park (restrooms, tables, chairs, handrails, garbage cans)
- Work flexible hours and at different locations
- Maintain a friendly attitude toward Guests and Hosts
- Greet guests, answer questions, and exceed expectations
- Provide prompt, courteous attention to Guests during shifts
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail per trained procedures
- Restock and track cleaning supplies in assigned areas
- Develop a work timetable to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Assist with emptying trash cans in assigned areas and other locations as needed
- Keep trash cans clean and maintain liners inside and out
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Perform duties in a safe manner and report any safety violations
- Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, mirrors, partitions, doors, and floors in restrooms
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have strong demonstrative and positive communication skills
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check
- Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
- Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and taking pride in work
- Must be self-motivated and disciplined
- Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments in a timely manner
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information
- Must be committed to continuous improvement
- Must maintain a professional appearance with good personal hygiene

- Must be productive in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with schedules, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be sensitive to guests’ needs and act to meet them within company guidelines using effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills
- Able to comprehend instructions and retain information
- Able to perform duties consistently while creating a safe and secure environment
- Able to adapt to frequent changes in priorities
- Able to perform basic arithmetic accurately
- Able to wear PPE as required
- Able to work with chemicals/detergents used in the area
- Able to work in any assigned area and perform other functions as assigned
- Able to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved methods
- Lifting and Carrying: May require lifting up to 50 lbs per safety guidelines
- Mobility: May require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for the duration of shift; may travel to various areas with changes in terrain
- Repetitive Movements: Repetitive movements and tasks may be required during the shift
- Environmental Conditions: Work in varying weather conditions, indoors and outdoors
- Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: Strong cognitive skills, critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, and effective communication
