Center on Aging and Health is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping team member to join our facility in Erwin. This is a part-time, on-site position, ideal for an entry-level professional who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary environments. As part of the Hospital/Health Care industry, our housekeeping team plays an essential role in supporting patient comfort, infection prevention, and overall facility quality.

In this role, you will help ensure that patient rooms, common areas, offices, and restrooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness. Your work will directly contribute to a welcoming, hygienic, and healthy environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. • Perform daily cleaning duties in patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and administrative areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and sanitize floors and surfaces
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including doorknobs, handrails, light switches, bed railings, and countertops
• Dispose of waste, including biomedical waste, according to healthcare facility protocols
• Follow infection control procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Replenish restroom supplies, such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and sanitizer
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisory staff
• Operate housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and disinfecting equipment, safely and effectively
• Maintain organization of housekeeping storage areas and cleaning carts
• Support a positive, respectful, and compassionate atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff

• Entry-level position; no prior housekeeping experience required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the care team
• Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• Comfort working in a Hospital/Health Care environment serving aging and vulnerable populations
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting as required
• Willingness to follow strict hygiene, infection control, and safety standards
• Availability to work a part-time, on-site schedule at our Erwin location
