Maintenance Manager
As a Maintenance Manager you will partner with the Plant Manager to provide day-to-day support and lead all maintenance operations to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utilities. This position develops and executes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies while driving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, controlling maintenance costs, and supporting operational excellence. The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance team in creating a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Develop and manage PM schedules to maximize equipment uptime.
- Improve equipment reliability through Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Manage emergency breakdown response.
- Coordinate maintenance support with production to minimize downtime.
- Maintain facility infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection systems, and utilities.
- Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives.
- Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget.
- Control maintenance spending while maintaining equipment reliability.
- Manage contractor services and vendor relationships.
- Negotiate service agreements and approve maintenance purchases
- Optimize spare parts inventory and approve maintenance purchases.
- Oversee maintenance planning and work order prioritization.
- Utilize CMMS software for maintenance planning and history tracking.
- Lead equipment installations.
- Manage facility improvement projects and coordinate contractors.
Skills/qualifications include:
- 5–7 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years leading maintenance teams.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC troubleshooting, and automation systems.
- Experience with KPI's such as Equipment Uptime, Preventive Maintenance Compliance, Maintenance Budget Performance, etc.
