Blaster - 2nd Shift

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Blaster to operate blasting equipment on railcars.

The Blaster will remove rust, scale, paint and other foreign materials from interior and exterior surfaces of railcars and related equipment. The role requires adjustment of equipment to ensure efficient blasting, surface preparation, and preventative maintenance of blast and recovery systems.

• Operate blasting equipment to remove rust, scale, paint and other foreign substances from railcars and related equipment.
• Adjust equipment as necessary to perform efficient and proper blasting.
• Prepare surfaces of non-finished railcars and components using various blast media methods.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures for blast and recovery systems.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report potential hazards.
• Work in adverse weather conditions and perform physical activities requiring significant use of arms and legs; climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop, and handle materials.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.
• Pass a drug screen and a physical examination.

• Experience operating blasting equipment (preferred).
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Compliance with all safety regulations.

• Pay Range: $21.15 - $25.85 per hour.
