position purpose: the assistant regional maintenance manager is a working leadership role responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities across greenhouse and packhouse operations. This position actively performs hands-on maintenance work while assisting in supervising maintenance staff, ensuring equipment reliability, facility safety, and efficient operations to support business goals.

• partner with cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance requests and safety concerns are addressed promptly.
• support cost-control initiatives by identifying opportunities for improved materials, vendors, and processes.
• assist in scheduling maintenance staff to ensure adequate coverage while optimizing labor efficiency.
• lead by example by actively participating in maintenance tasks alongside the team and providing on the job guidance and support
• promote and reinforce safety standards and compliance with company policies.

safety requirements:

personal protective equipment (ppe) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The company will provide the required ppe. Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned ppe. This position requires working in a variety of environments, including office, maintenance shop, greenhouse, and packhouse settings, with regular exposure to dust, heat, noise, and mechanical equipment.

qualification standards:

education

• high school diploma or equivalent required
• technical or trade school training perfered

• 5 - 7+ years of maintenance experience
• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role preferred

licenses or certificates
