part‑time maintenance custodian

hourly rate: $13.00 per hour.

this is a 19‑hour‑per‑week position. Work hours are:

• 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm monday – thursday.
• 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm friday.

work hours are altered during campus summer hours but will remain 19 hours per week.

overtime may be required for special events.

95 % of the time, performs general custodial duties of all buildings. Routine duties include:

• empties, sanitizes, and relines trash receptacles
• sweeps and mops floors
• cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and fixtures, refills disposable items
• vacuum rooms with carpeting
• strips, scrubs, seals, and buffs tile floors
• cleans carpets

5 % of the time performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

• up to six months of similar or related experience; two years of responsible experience in a custodial job preferred.
• normal courtesy in dealing with others required.
• must be able to operate cleaning equipment.
• must be able to follow oral and written instructions in english.
• must have basic computer skills, including the ability to use a computer for online training.
• moderate physical exertion is required, including walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, stretching, and reaching.
• must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
