Responsibilities
- Complete general maintenance requests submitted by guests and employees.
- Perform work order tasks and preventive maintenance on spaces and equipment.
- Interact with guests or employees to ensure maintenance requests are completed successfully.
- Identify problems, initiate work orders, accomplish assigned work orders, and perform necessary repairs relating to expertise.
- Conduct duty rounds using daily checklists, report on, and correct noted problems.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace.
- Maintain inventory of tools in use and ensure correct usage of the maintenance request system.
- Work safely, including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols.
- Assist with maintenance requests for other trades as needed.
- One year of maintenance experience in hotels, home repair, hospitals, office repair, or apartment complex repairs.
- Skilled at using hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with minor wallpaper and vinyl repair.
- Experience repairing and painting drywall, wood, metal, and other surfaces using rollers and brushes.
- Experience repairing tile and grout, refinishing woodwork that requires staining, varnishing, and lacquering.
- Basic plumbing repairs.
- Basic electrical repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (preferred).
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Texas driver’s license with a good driving record (preferred).
