Groundskeeper - Brickyard at Barbers Hill

Job Description

Ensures that the physical aspects of the community are maintained and standards are met regarding the grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal. Provides support to the service team members.

• Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, ensuring all common areas and amenities remain neat and free of litter at all times.
• Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transfers trash to the dumpster or storage area as applicable, and cleans and maintains storage areas.
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by the Service Supervisor and/or Community Manager, and assists the make‑ready specialist in the turn process.
• Changes all locks in accordance with the property’s policy and ensures gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards.
• Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary.
• Informs appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team members, guests, and others.
• Demonstrates customer‑service skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services.
• Complies with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies by attending routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety‑related laws and requirements, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Incumbents must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas. They need to work inside and outside in all weather conditions, push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance. Travel may be required to assist other properties, attend training classes, business meetings, or other necessary events.

A flexible schedule, including call time during evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Hourly range: $14.50 – $17.00.

Additional Compensation:
Position may be eligible for quarterly or annual bonus programs for corporate roles, or weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property roles, based on individual and company performance.
