Custodial and Site Care Coordinator Part-Time | Up to 28 Hours per Week | $16–$18 per Hour Non-Exempt | Reports to the Recreation Campus Director About CRRC

CRRC of Canyon Lake provides vital social services and life-enriching opportunities that increase community wellness through building connections, offering resources, and providing support.

CRRC operates three campuses: the Resource Center, Thrift Store, and Recreation Campus. This position helps ensure each location is clean, safe, welcoming, and ready to serve our community.

Position Summary

The Custodial and Site Care position provides routine cleaning and facility care across CRRC’s three campuses. This employee will also schedule, train, and support volunteers who assist with cleaning and special site-care projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while providing clear and respectful direction to volunteers.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, kitchens, classrooms, meeting rooms, common areas, and public spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean windows, disinfect surfaces, and empty trash and recycling.
  • Restock restroom, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
  • Complete periodic deep cleaning and prepare facilities for programs, rentals, meetings, and events.
  • Maintain organized cleaning equipment, supply closets, and custodial storage areas.
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, and supply needs.
  • Develop and follow cleaning schedules for all three CRRC campuses.
  • Coordinate and schedule volunteers who assist with cleaning and site-care projects.
  • Train volunteers on cleaning procedures, equipment use, chemical safety, and CRRC expectations.
  • Provide volunteers with clear assignments and hands‑on support.
  • Maintain basic volunteer schedules, attendance records, and cleaning checklists.
  • Coordinate cleaning activities with Site Directors to minimize disruptions to programs and services.
Qualifications
  • Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, facilities, or related cleaning experience.
  • Knowledge of basic cleaning, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to organize responsibilities across multiple locations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with staff and volunteers.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation between CRRC campuses.
  • Experience training or coordinating volunteers is preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
Physical and Schedule Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive cleaning activities. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors in varying temperatures.

This position works up to 28 hours per week. The schedule will depend on organizational needs and may include early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends.
