Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance and repair procedures on all hospital buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems.
  • Perform repairs and provide support for plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions.
  • Perform minor and major repairs and preventive maintenance on all building mechanical equipment and plant facilities.
  • Conduct a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions.
  • Clean and inspect boilers; evaluate water treatment for proper chemical usage.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists of building maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
  • Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
  • GED or high school diploma.
  • Preferred:
    Maintenance experience (plumbing, carpenter, construction, facilities management).
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift.
  • Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lbs.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job (hand and power tools, electric meters, and material‑handling equipment).
