Roads And Ground Worker

Position: FT/PT, 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday

Refugio

Pay Rate $15.00 an hour

Duties:

• Road maintenance:
  Repairing and patching potholes, laying asphalt, and performing pavement marking.
• Groundskeeping:
  Mowing, trimming trees and brush, collecting leaves, and clearing debris from rights-of-way and ditches.
• Storm and drainage maintenance:
  Cleaning catch basins, storm drains, and culverts.
• Construction and repair:
  Digging trenches, working with concrete, and assisting with the installation of signs and guardrails.
• Traffic control:
  Setting up barricades and flagging to direct traffic around work sites.
• Litter and waste removal:
  Picking up trash in public areas and performing general janitorial work

Physical stamina:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.

Mechanical aptitude:
Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.

Problem-solving:
Ability to handle unexpected challenges as they arise.

Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively with others and follow instructions.
