The General Maintenance Burn Pile Monitoring & Safety position supports the overall upkeep, safety, and appearance of the Hilltop Lakes POA community. This entry-level position assists with routine maintenance of the grounds and community appearance projects. A key responsibility of this position is monitoring the POA burn pile to ensure compliance with established safety procedures and policies. The technician performs assigned duties under general supervision and contributes to maintaining a clean, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, debris removal, and general facility upkeep.
• Assist with grounds maintenance as needed, including trimming, clearing, basic landscaping support, and maintaining clean community spaces.
• Support seasonal or special projects such as storm cleanup and community events setup.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas in need of repair or attention and report findings to the supervisor.

• Monitor the community burn pile to ensure safe operation and use at all times.
• Enforce and follow POA policies and safety guidelines related to burn pile access, material disposal, fire safety, and restricted items.
• Maintain a safe perimeter and ensure the burn pile area remains orderly, controlled, and compliant with local regulations.
• Report any safety concerns, misuse, or hazardous conditions immediately to the Maintenance Lead or Supe

• Follow all POA safety policies, procedures, and established work practices.
• Properly operate and maintain basic maintenance tools and equipment.
• Assist other maintenance staff with daily assignments and community needs.
• Complete work orders assigned in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform any other duties assigned to support the maintenance team and community operations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, tools, and repair techniques helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn and follow safety procedures, especially related to burn pile operations.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing, and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with staff and residents.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

• Work performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Interaction with residents and community members while performing duties.
• May require occasional weekend or after-hours work depending on operational needs.
