Stormwater Maintenance Worker

Participates in the repair, maintenance and construction of all storm waters related infrastructure in the City of Anna.

• Assist the Supervisor in observing contractors perform drainage or landscaping work for the city.
• Maintain landscaping of city right of way including mowing, brush cutting and removal, and debris removal.
• Perform ground maintenance at city facilities.
• Attending training as necessary.
• Log completed daily maintenance.
• Attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and precautions.
• Assist in the maintenance and inspection of department equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain and repair drainage structures including bar ditches, storm drains, culverts, inlets, manholes, retention/detention ponds, erosion control structures, and other drainage related infrastructure.
• Clear ditches to grade.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

High school or GED, plus one (1) year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess a valid Class "C" driver’s license and can acquire a CDL within one year of hire.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.

Possession of a Class B CDL is preferred.

Basic:
Word Processing/Typing is required.

Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, road and production machines and equipment, driver’s license/cdl, etc.)
