Facilities Associate

Schedule:

Sunday - Tuesday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am The Facilities Associate's main responsibility is to follow the daily work schedule for the assigned area. It may include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping floors, empty/clean wastebaskets, and wiping down work areas. This is considered an essential on-site role, which requires regular on-site attendance.

• Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces
• Collect trash and cardboard throughout the facility and transport to proper location
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.
• Perform additional cleaning services as required
• Dispose properly of all public sanitation items in compliance with Digi Key's infectious waste control training

Required Knowledge, Skills, and

Experience:

• Public sanitation compliance and/or infectious waste control training, preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Regular and consistent attendance due to the need to access physical equipment
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
• Ability to provide a professional and enthusiastic outlook and perspective
• Self-motivation to maintain a clean work environment throughout the facility
• Capable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc.
• Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success

Tools/ Systems/ Software:

• Scrubber/Sweeper management
• Outlook
• Workday (will be trained on the job)

• Physical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as operation of cleaning equipment as required
• Capable of standing or walking the entire shift
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height

The starting base pay rate for this position is:

$20.00
