Facilities Associate

Schedule:

Sunday - Tuesday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

The Facilities Associate’s main responsibility is to follow the daily work schedule for the assigned area. Tasks may include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping floors, emptying/cleaning wastebaskets, and wiping down work areas.

• Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces.
• Collect trash and cardboard throughout the facility and transport to the proper location.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.
• Perform additional cleaning services as required.
• Dispose properly of all public sanitation items in compliance with Digi Key’s infectious waste control training.

• Public sanitation compliance and/or infectious waste control training, preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Regular and consistent attendance due to the need to access physical equipment.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to provide a professional and enthusiastic outlook and perspective.
• Self‑motivation to maintain a clean work environment throughout the facility.
• Capable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc.
• Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success.

• Scrubber/Sweeper management.
• Outlook.
• Workday (will be trained on the job).

• Physical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as operation of cleaning equipment as required.
• Capable of standing or walking the entire shift.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height.

The starting base pay rate for this position is: $20.00
