Housekeeping Supervisor

Nursing Home Housekeeping Supervisor manages the environmental services team to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment for residents, staff, and visitors . [1 , 2 ]

• Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping and laundry personnel. [1 ]
• Facility Inspections: Conduct regular rounds and inspections of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness. [1 , 2 ]
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines set by agencies like OSHA and state health departments. [1 , 2 ]
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, order cleaning supplies and equipment, and manage department costs within budget. [1 ]
• Hands-on Support: Act as a working supervisor by pitching in with heavy cleaning, floor care, or room readiness for new admissions when needed. [1 , 3 ]

• Experience: Previous institutional or commercial cleaning experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with infection control protocols, hazardous materials (OSHA, PPE), and safety regulations.
