SCI Engineering, Inc. is a professional consulting and engineering firm. The Construction Material Testing Technician performs testing and inspections of construction materials on sites and in the laboratory, ensuring quality and compliance. Professionalism and customer service are essential.

• Perform various tests and inspections on construction materials.
• Prepare written and electronic reports on testing results.
• Communicate verbally with site and office personnel.
• Provide supervision and training for less‑experienced staff as needed.
• Adhere to strict safety procedures and standards.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers and employees.
• Perform arithmetic calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
• Use smartphones in a basic logical manner.
• Apply a logical approach to problem solving.

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required; at least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Must be able to travel to office and job sites daily.
• Valid driver’s license and current driver’s insurance.
• Must be available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must enjoy working outside.
