JLL is seeking a skilled Operating Engineer to join our operations team. This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence and ensuring the smooth functioning of building systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong maintenance capabilities and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

What your day-to-day will look like:Facility Operations and Maintenance
- Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS), Utility Control Systems (UCS), Critical Environmental Monitoring System (CEMS), and Eco Struxure Building Operations (EBO) for alarms and anomalies
- Troubleshoot and resolve system alarms efficiently
- Perform predictive, planned, preventative, and routine maintenance in accordance with JLL's Preventative Maintenance Program
- Execute building rounds as required and conduct site ground inspections
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to building equipment
- Perform general building repairs including doors and various other maintenance responsibilities
- Respond to and complete service requests accurately and expediently
- Conduct minor repairs on building systems to ensure continuous operation
- Comply with all safety standards and policies required for site, department, and job function
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Perform all duties in a safe manner using proper safety equipment and in accordance with established work standards and practices
- Actively participate in emergency response procedures, technical training, and safety training programs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in basic preventive/predictive maintenance
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in industrial building repairs
- Current state license to operate company vehicles
- Must be able to operate company vehicles including carts, trucks, and vans
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems (Maximo preferred)
- Basic knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Utility Control Systems (UCS), Critical Environmental Monitoring System (CEMS), and Eco Struxure Building Operations (EBO)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and One Note
- Effective use of technology and tools such as SharePoint and AI
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and One Note helpful
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Mechanical background
- Ability to move up to 49 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
- Ability to climb ladders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with management, employees at all levels, and customers
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic work environment and work well under pressure
- Superior customer service orientation with ability to build and maintain relationships
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Team player who maintains positive working relationships across all facility operations
Thousand Oaks, CA - Onsite
Work ShiftWeek 1:
Thursday to Sunday 5:00pm to 5:30am
Week 2:
Friday to Sunday 5:00pm to 5:30am
+ Ability to work weekend nights and overtime as required.
Salary/ Comp$25 - $35 per hour + Overtime + Shift Differential.
