• Maintain farm appearance – mowing, weed control, picking up trash (30% of time)
• Assist with farm duties – land prep, irrigation setup, collect soil samples, assist with different trial projects as needed (30% of time)
• Assist with repairs and maintenance on irrigation, farm machinery, buildings, & farm vehicles (20% of time)
• Assist in cleaning farm office, farm shop floors, bathrooms, etc.; assist with all computer operations – data entry, word documents, inventory (20% of time)

The assistant will provide field assistance including land prep, setting up irrigation, and other day-to-day chores at the Blackshank Farm. The assistant will assist with repairs on irrigation, farm machinery, and buildings, mow grass and pick up trash to maintain farm appearance, support a variety of Plant Pathology faculty projects, and help with computer data and other computer programs.

Education: High school diploma required.
Ability to: Lift, stand, endure outside elements for extended periods of time, drive as needed for job duties.

The position requires a background investigation and may require a pre‑employment drug test. The employee must have a valid driver’s license.
