Build Your Career With Tinley Auto Repair

Questions before applying? Text Tammy at .

Tinley Auto Repair is looking for an Entry-Level, C-Level, or B-Level Automotive Technician who wants more than just another job.

Our immediate need is for someone who can perform oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, fluid services, filters, batteries, bulbs, and other general maintenance and light repair work. However, we are not looking for someone who wants to remain “just a lube technician.”

We are looking for someone who wants to build a real career in the automotive industry.

At Tinley Auto Repair, you will have the opportunity to learn, receive hands‑on training, take on more responsibility, and continue growing as a technician. We have experienced technicians, strong shop systems, access to training, and plenty of opportunities for the right person to develop their skills.

Whether you already have some shop experience or recently graduated from an automotive college or trade school, we would like to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Performing oil changes and scheduled maintenance services.
  • Completing tire rotations and basic tire services.
  • Inspecting vehicles and documenting findings through our digital Vehicle Health Assessment.
  • Replacing filters, bulbs, batteries, wiper blades, and other maintenance items.
  • Performing fluid exchanges and preventive maintenance services.
  • Completing light mechanical repairs based on your current skill level.
  • Assisting experienced technicians and learning more advanced repairs.
  • Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Treating every customer’s vehicle with care and respect.
  • Continuing to develop your technical knowledge and abilities.
Who We’re Looking For:

You do not need to know everything. You do need to be willing to learn.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has automotive experience, education, or hands‑on mechanical ability.
  • Is a recent automotive college or trade school graduate, or has experience working in a repair shop.
  • Wants to build a long‑term career in the automotive repair industry.
  • Is dependable and arrives ready to work.
  • Takes pride in doing the job correctly.
  • Is coachable and open to feedback.
  • Pays attention to details.
  • Works well as part of a team.
  • Communicates honestly when they need help.
  • Has a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Wants to continue learning and advancing within the industry.

A complete tool collection is not required to get started. We understand that building a professional toolbox takes time, and we are willing to help the right person develop and build their tool collection as their career grows.

What We Offer:
  • Full‑time, Monday through Friday schedule.
  • No weekends.
  • Pay based on experience and skill level.
  • Opportunities to grow from an entry‑level or C‑Level position into a B‑Level technician and beyond.
  • Ongoing technical training and career development.
  • Hands‑on coaching from experienced technicians.
  • Support in building your professional toolbox.
  • A busy, well‑established, family‑owned repair shop.
  • Employer‑paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off, paid holidays, and sick days.
  • Professional shop equipment, technology, and repair information.
  • A team environment built around trust, education, and doing what is right.
  • Opportunities to take on more advanced work and increase your earning potential as your skills grow.
