The Village of Tinley Park, Illinois, is hiring a Building Official to lead its Building Division during a period of growth and development.
Benefits- Salary range: $113,892 to $159,448 DOQ.

- IMRF pension and optional 457(b) plan.
- Lead a ten-member Building Division and oversee building code enforcement, permitting, inspections, plan review, code interpretation, and compliance activities.
- Serve as a trusted resource for residents, contractors, architects, developers, and business owners.
- ICC Residential Building Inspector certification.
- Five to seven years of experience in building inspection, code enforcement, construction, building design, or a closely related field.
- At least three years of supervisory experience.
- Preferred: a bachelor’s degree in building engineering, architecture, construction engineering, or a related field.
- Additional ICC certifications required within six months of appointment; reimbursements provided.
