Special Education Teacher

Make a direct impact by supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract position. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a vibrant, well-resourced educational environment surrounded by an experienced and collaborative team. The assignment runs from your start date through October 31, 2026, with some flexibility regarding daily scheduling if needed. The position is based in-person;

remote or hybrid work is not available.

Youll serve a manageable caseload of three kindergarteners and two first-grade students in a self-contained instructional setting, allowing for individualized instruction and the chance to see significant student progress over time. The setting is not a multi-needs classroom.

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience or strong interest in supporting kindergarten and first-grade students
• Confidence in designing and delivering individualized learning plans
• Clear communication skills with students, families, and team members
• Strong organizational ability and adaptability
• Positive approach to collaboration within a multidisciplinary team

• Develop and implement personalized instruction for each student
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Communicate clearly with families about student achievements and needs
• Work closely with two instructional-level, three multi-needs, and three resource-level special education teaching partners, as well as para educators
• Utilize a rich array of instructional materials and support resources
• Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to collaborative problem-solving
