Special Education Teacher

• Valid Illinois Special Education Teacher certification with LBS1 endorsement
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education best practices
• Ability to effectively adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique strengths and needs
• Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with state standards and students IEPs
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust approaches as needed
• Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to ensure student success
• Maintain open communication with families, providing regular updates on student progress and needs
• Create a positive and safe classroom climate that encourages growth, independence, and self-advocacy
