Overview
We’re looking for someone who can own projects from pre-construction through completion. This role blends estimating with project management—ideal for someone who can price work accurately, then stay engaged to ensure execution runs smoothly.
Responsibilities- Estimating (Pre-Construction)
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bids, and proposals
- Review drawings, specs, and project scope to identify risks and opportunities
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor pricing
- Develop takeoffs, budgets, and timelines
- Partner with sales/business development on client proposals
- Project Management (Execution)
- Manage projects from kickoff through closeout
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Track budgets, schedules, and project milestones
- Handle change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Maintain strong client communication throughout the lifecycle
- 3–8+ years of experience in estimating, project management, or both
- Background in [construction, manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, etc.]
- Strong understanding of project costing, contracts, and scheduling
- Experience with estimating software and/or project management tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once without losing detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience in [specific industry: commercial construction, exhibits, electrical, etc.]
- Exposure to design-build or fast-paced project environments
- PMP or similar certification (not required)
- Accurate estimates that translate into profitable projects
- Projects delivered on time and within budget
- Strong client relationships and repeat business
