Recruiter / Talent Acquisition
Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing full‑cycle hiring processes across the organization, supporting onboarding, screening, and pipeline‑building efforts. You’ll partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to deliver a high‑quality candidate experience and build talent community pipelines for Proven IT.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and update job descriptions for open roles
- Post job openings across job boards and recruiting platforms
- Screen applications, coordinate 60‑ & 90‑day check‑ins and follow‑ups
- Conduct video screens and in‑person interviews; handle candidate communication
- Familiarity with modern sourcing techniques (Linked In Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, social media, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Send onboarding emails and coordinate pre‑hire screenings
- Support onboarding logistics and build long‑term candidate pipelines
- Coordinate scheduling for all interviews with candidates and hiring teams
- Collaborate with leadership to refine recruitment processes and candidate experience
- Represent the company at job fairs and build academic partnerships
- Assist with HR event coordination
- Additional duties as assigned
- 1–3 years of recruiting experience preferred; IT or sales recruiting is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and candidate relationship management (CRM/ATS) tools
- Team‑oriented but capable of working independently
- Creative problem solver with a proactive approach to talent challenges
- Strong commitment to building a positive candidate experience and strong employer brand
- Understanding employment laws and best hiring practices
- Valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation
- Prolonged computer and desk‑based work
- Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, filing, and handling materials
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs for print materials or welcome kits
Group Health Insurance: After a 30‑day waiting period, full‑time employees (who work at least 30 hours per week) and their dependents are eligible to enroll in health benefits utilizing the Cigna network. Health options include a choice of 2 PPO plans or a High Deductible Health Plan with employer contributions to a Health Savings Account (HSA). Dental and vision benefits are also available.
Employer Provided Life / AD&D Insurance: After a 30‑day waiting period, Proven IT provides a flat $25,000 Life Insurance benefit, administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield, to all full‑time employees (who work at least 30 hours per week). Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefits are determined by type of loss and payable up to the full Life Insurance benefit amount. Coverage is reduced at ages 65, 70 and 75.
Employer Provided Long‑Term Disability: Long‑Term Disability (LTD) insurance protects against loss of income if an employee cannot work due to illness, injury, or accident for an extended period. The elimination period is 90 days; maximum benefit is 60% of covered payroll up to $6,000 per month. No cost to employee.
Employee Assistance Program: All employees may utilize Disability Resource Services through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois to assist themselves and immediate family with emotional, legal, and financial resources. Telephonic counseling and web‑based services are available.
401K Plan: Employees are eligible after 120 days of service to contribute on a pre‑tax or post‑tax (Roth) basis. Proven offers a 100% match on the first 3% of deferrals and 50% on the next 2%.
Financial Advisory Services: Proven IT partners with Merrill Lynch to provide free financial advisement to all employees.
Permissive Time Off Policy: Proven provides a competitive paid time off policy after a 90‑day waiting period. Managers coordinate all time off.
Parental Leave: Proven IT offers generous parental leave for new parents. After 24 months of employment, full‑time employees receive 90 days paid maternity leave and 10 days paid paternity leave. Employees with less than 24 months may take the same amount of unpaid time off.
Fitness Center: Proven IT provides a free on‑site fitness center at the Tinley Park headquarters, open 24/7. Use is at employees’ own risk.
