The Recruiter supports Proven IT's hiring and onboarding efforts by finding, engaging, and guiding candidates through the recruitment process. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, takes initiative, and follows through even when a search is challenging. The Recruiter will receive hands on training, partner closely with the HR team and hiring managers, and build the skills needed to take increasing ownership of open positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and engage prospective candidates through Linked In Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, social media, and creative outreach strategies.
  • Review applications and conduct initial phone or video screens, creating an engaging and welcoming first impression while using established interview guides.
  • Build rapport with candidates, keep them engaged, and follow up consistently throughout the interview process.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams and communicate updates promptly and professionally.
  • Post and update job openings across recruiting platforms and assist with drafting or refreshing job descriptions.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, notes, and status updates in the applicant tracking system.
  • Support pre-employment activities, including offer and onboarding communications, background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-hire requirements.
  • Develop candidate pipelines by reaching out to new prospects, re-engaging previous candidates, and staying persistent when positions are difficult to fill.
  • Help create a responsive, positive, and consistent candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.
  • Assist with new-hire check-ins, recruiting reports, job fairs, campus outreach, and HR events.
  • Learn Proven IT's roles, departments, recruiting processes, and sourcing best practices through coaching and hands-on experience.
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of recruiting, sourcing, staffing, sales, customer service, administrative, campus leadership, or related experience. Internships, relevant coursework, and transferable experience are welcome; prior professional recruiting experience is not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field is helpful but not required; equivalent education, internship, or work experience will be considered.
  • Engaging and personable, with the confidence to start conversations, ask thoughtful questions, and build rapport with different personalities.
  • Tenacious and self-motivated, with the resilience to handle unanswered outreach and changing priorities without losing momentum.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone, email, and Linked In communication.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple candidates, follow-ups, and deadlines at once.
  • Exposure to Linked In Recruiter, job boards, Microsoft Office, or an applicant tracking system is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Coachability, curiosity, and a willingness to apply feedback and try new approaches.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the initiative to work independently and ask for help when needed.
  • Commitment to providing a positive candidate experience and representing Proven IT professionally.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged computer and desk-based work
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, filing, and handling materials
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs for print materials or welcome kits
