• Calibrate and set up sawing machines for each order, selecting and installing blades and any required attachments.
• Stage materials: position, secure, and mark stock on the saw to prepare for precise cuts.
• Operate sawing equipment to cut a range of materials, continuously monitoring performance during runs.
• Verify accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools to ensure pieces meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance: clean and lubricate machines; replace worn components like blades and belts.
• Deburr and finish parts—file, grind, and smooth edges to meet finishing requirements.
• Document daily output and complete all required production and administrative paperwork.

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and production documentation.
• Skill in measuring and marking material for cutting with precision.
• Experience maintaining sawing equipment to keep it running reliably.
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
• Strong manual dexterity for safe, accurate work.
• Reliability in following instructions and standard procedures.
