Laboratory Technician, Temporary in Tinley Park

Job Overview

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company that provides analytical testing services to ensure products are safe and compliant. This temporary Lab Technician position supports our busy season in the Environment Testing Division.

• Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Apply GMP/GLP in all responsibilities as appropriate.
• Perform routine lab tasks, including:
• Preparation of samples using standard techniques.
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Calculating data.
• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Eurofins EHS and QA standards.
• Perform general housekeeping in the work area.
• Become trained and competent on complex instrumentation (gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, and associated data systems).
• Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods.
• Aliquot and weigh samples.
• Wash glassware.
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

• Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts.
• Ability to complete work within time and quality constraints.
• Can work independently following written or verbal instructions.
• Cooperative and coordinates both orally and in writing.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following disciplines:
• Organic preparation.
• Metals preparation and analysis.
• High resolution preparation and analysis.
• Low resolution preparation and analysis.

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• High School Diploma required.
• 1‑2 years laboratory experience; willing to train the right candidate.
• Prior production‑oriented work helpful (ability to meet deadlines).
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Full‑time position Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Temporary assignment. Pay rate: $16.00 per hour.
