Job Title: Transitional Housing Specialist
Program: Transitional Housing Services
Reports to: Director of Housing and Financial Assistance
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:00pm – Occasional Evenings
Classification: Full Time-Non-Exempt
Job Classification: Advocate
SummaryCoordinate and assure continuity of services necessary for a client’s success in the Transitional Housing Program through case management and counseling. Provide assessment, monitoring, planning, linkage and advocacy for the most appropriate services for clients enrolled. Effectively maintain and manage assigned caseload contingent on needs, strengths, and abilities of the client served. Adheres to all agency and grant requirements.
Position RequirementsEducation Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Counseling or Related Field, Valid Driver’s License
Experience
Required:
1-5 years’ experience working with families in crisis;
Experience working with DV Victims; 3-5 years of job-related experience;
Experience in residential setting/group home (Preferred);
Strong Project Management and personal workflow skills;
Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
Bilingual, Spanish speaking and writing (a plus)
40 Hour DV Training

- Outstanding leadership, interpersonal and problem- solving skills
Must have the ability to create a comprehensive plan and follow through on each detail. This person must be highly organized, have excellent relationship building skills and experience, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
