About the Opportunity

Join our team! and play a vital role in maintaining beautiful parks, recreational areas, and outdoor spaces of Florida's Space Coast. As a Parks Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure that park grounds, facilities, and public amenities are clean, safe, and well-maintained for residents and visitors to enjoy. This hands-on position contributes to creating welcoming outdoor environments while supporting the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of Brevard County parks.

What You'll Do

• Perform general care and maintenance of park buildings, grounds, and facilities
• Mow and edge grass
• Operate hand and power tools
• Clean walkways, remove trash and refuse, and clean facilities including restrooms, and picnic areas
• Assist with skilled trades such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, and basic repairs or installations
• Load and unload heavy materials and equipment
• Carry out additional related duties as needed

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum of 3 months combined experience in grounds and building maintenance
• Experience with mechanical or equipment repair preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening (Drug-Free Workplace)
• Ability to pass a background check
