We are looking for a skilled Transport Mechanic to join our team and help maintain the safety and reliability of our fleet and equipment. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is a team player, with a strong willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team's success.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
* Inspect and repair basic engine components.
* Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues.
* Change tires, make brake adjustments, and fix lights.
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers.
* Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
* Operate forklift and drive truck and trailer when necessary.
* Follow good housekeeping standards in all areas of work.
* Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
* Make recommendations for process system improvements.
* Adhere to industrial safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
* Complete all other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
What We Look For
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in transport mechanics or a related field.
* General knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements.
* Clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
* Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
* Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more consistently.
* Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have strong welding and fabrication skills.
* Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
* A dedicated team player who contributes to the overall success of the organization.
Nice To Have:
Class A Commercial Driver License
