Maintenance Technician

Responsible for maintaining and inspecting property, buildings, equipment, utilities, furnishings, and grounds.

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by this position. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities and skills required of this position. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Maintain and inspect plumbing, property, buildings, furniture, furnishings, etc. Work with outside cleaning and service representatives in checking, maintaining, and repairing building equipment and coordinating needs.
• Problem solving – must have the ability to identify all facility problems to locations that are assigned, then be able to produce solutions without supervision.
• Ability to be a self-starter and back up the Facilities Director when they are not available.
• Performs maintenance on equipment, furniture, buildings, and property and has knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering.
• Performs minor building and furniture modifications or repairs involving carpentry, painting, wiring, and other general maintenance of physical locations.
• Familiarity with using ticketing systems and vendor portals for proper tracking and reporting.
• Help get old equipment to the dumpster or to charities periodically. Responsible for moving and setting up furniture within offices, conference/group rooms and other work areas.
• Regularly inspects buildings and provides condition assessments of building, parking lots, landscaping needs, and sprinkler systems.
• Check and replace light bulbs. Notify management of outside and parking lot lighting. Work with contracted vendors.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for troubleshooting and repair support.
• Assist with branch and office buildouts or renovations, including coordination of installation of equipment such as ITMs and other operational infrastructure.
• Maintain responsibility for physical security-related functions, including access controls (badges, key cards), basic camera/system monitoring support, and coordination with internal security personnel.

High School or better.

1-3 years of knowledge of janitorial equipment and maintenance procedures.
