Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Facilities Maintenance to our team to support our continued growth.

This is a full-time position based in Toledo, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment.

Hours for this position are typically:
  • 1st shift:
    Monday-Friday, 6 AM-2 PM
  • Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays)

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of company buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, and well‑maintained to support daily operations. The position requires hands‑on technical skills, problem‑solving ability, and adherence to safety standards.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Perform painting, patching, flooring, and general building repairs as needed.
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules and document completed work.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as directed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Accurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, and related documentation.
  • Assist with facility projects, renovations, or equipment moves as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.
  • Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with the job scope/position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills, non‑compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
  • Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role.
Iso / Environmental Management System (EMS) Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the environmental processes and requirements applicable to the role.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read work orders, manuals, and basic schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
