Maintenance Technical Lead
Our client, an automotive company, is looking for a Maintenance Technical Lead for their Toledo, OH location.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, implementing, and reviewing maintenance and repair activities to automotive testing equipment, facility equipment, and buildings in support of ongoing operations.
- Overseeing and directing the activities of a small multi-trade maintenance crew to complete required tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Complying with the collective bargaining agreement, Canadian Electrical Code, TSSA, corporate policies, and other applicable regulations in the organization and execution of maintenance activities.
- Developing maintenance strategies, programs, and making improvements to existing policies.
- Troubleshooting automated testing system issues and determining corrective actions.
- Managing all aspects of environmental health and safety conformance for the skilled trades.
- Overseeing a preventative maintenance program for automotive testing equipment and facilities.
- Prioritizing tasks based on urgency and workforce availability.
- Maintaining accurate hourly timekeeping records, vacation, and time off requests.
- Point of contact for janitorial services contract.
- Performing environmental inspections and coordinating waste pickups.
- Procurement of parts, material, and rentals required to complete maintenance tasks.
- Tracking data for performance measurable such as Preventative Maintenance task completion, overtime, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier/customer relations with internal customers and outside suppliers.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of materials and equipment.
Requirements include:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial automation experience with project management experience.
- Excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with employees at all levels of the Plant, from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership.
- Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving experience.
- Goal oriented self starter with the ability to lead teams.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop skilled trade employees.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field.
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a union environment.
- Green Belt/Red X/Six Sigma training.
- Experience with controls, robotics, drives, system level communication systems, sealing systems, glass cell systems, conveyance systems, welding (all types), paint process and associated systems, and vision systems and sensors.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.
