Student Sweeper

Assists in maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and public; ensures that assigned tasks are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner. This position is two hours a day and student sweepers are expected to be actively working for their entire shift.

Cleans assigned facilities such as classrooms, hallways, and entrances for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive school environment. Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies such as soap and paper towels for the purpose of ensuring adequate quantities for daily use. Supports the custodial staff for the purpose of completing school custodial activities. Other duties as needed.

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and enrolled in school. Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. Works in the school under the direct supervision of the Head Custodian and Principal. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, stooping and kneeling, is required. Will operate job-related equipment.
