Midland Care Connection Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas.

Building Maintenance Technician Ensures all of the Midland Care Connection facilities are safe, functional, and comfortable. Handles repairs, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance for building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Also maintain compliance with safety and building codes, perform installations or replacements, and keep tools and equipment in good condition, supporting a smooth and safe environment for patients, families, and staff.

Hours Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pmRequired

High school diploma or GED Experience in general building maintenance and repairs

Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems

Ability to use hand and power tools safely

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely

Preferred

Technical or trade certification in maintenance, HVAC, or electrical

Experience in healthcare, hospice, or long-term care settings

Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and OSHA standards

Experience with preventive maintenance programs

Ability to perform minor carpentry or painting tasks
