Job Overview
TeamGOV is currently accepting applications for a Facilities General Maintenance Worker to provide operation and maintenance services at its federal building in Topeka, KS.
Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Paint floors, steps, and sidewalks.
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
- Hang doors and install locks.
- Replace broken windowpanes and perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Experience in commercial HVAC repair and maintenance of mechanical building systems, including preventative maintenance, routine service calls, and overall facility maintenance, is highly desirable.
Requirements- Minimum of 4 years’ experience performing general maintenance and repair.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
