Shop a selection of high‑quality Italian, local and homemade products; learn through our classes and our team’s product knowledge.
- Transforms high‑quality, unique ingredients into authentic Italian dishes through preparing, cooking and packaging food items in Eataly’s high‑volume production kitchen for use at various Eataly restaurants and outlets.
- Assists in overseeing other prep cooks and daily task lists.
- Oversees other prep cooks and ensures performance standards.
- Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats, maintains holding temperature, fries and sautés.
- Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables for frying or sautéing.
- Packages items along with appropriate garnish.
- Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and Department of Health regulations.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in a production kitchen.
- Previous experience working in a leadership role is an asset.
- Bachelor’s Degree or degree from a post‑secondary culinary arts program preferred.
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and exert well‑paced mobility.
- Ability to spend up to 8 hours standing or walking in a kitchen and restaurant environment.
- Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc.
Compensation for this role is CAD $50,000 annually. This position has been posted to fill a current vacancy.
