This position performs food service duties that support the dietary department and contribute to daily meal operations for adult and geriatric patients. The work involves preparing, portioning, and delivering food while following established guidelines. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Tray Line Support:Set up and assemble tray line stations and work assigned positions during meal service
- Equipment Operation:Operate and maintain dish machines, tray washers, and floor scrubbers according to guidelines
- Sanitation Tasks:Complete cleaning duties such as washing floors, machines, counters, chairs, and food service utensils
- Food Preparation:Portion food items, prepare simple grilled or steamed foods, and assemble salads and sandwiches
- Delivery Duties:Deliver meal trays, nourishments, and supplies, and complete scheduled pick‑ups throughout the hospital
- Stock Handling:Unload trucks, store food and supplies, rotate stock, and maintain ingredient rooms and storage areas
- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, rotating days off, with a 30‑minute lunch. You will be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned, with one scheduled weekend off per month. You will also be required to work the 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM shift as needed. This may change with operational needs.

Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
