Environmental Services Technician

This position involves performing a range of cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in patient rooms, common areas, break rooms, and bathrooms within a hospital setting.

• Perform mopping, sweeping, and general cleaning duties in hospital facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in patient rooms, common areas, break rooms, and bathrooms.
• Discharge duties include cleaning and preparing patient rooms for new admissions.
• Handle sanitation tasks, including COVID cleaning and terminal cleaning.
• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment to ensure high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience in custodial, janitorial, or cleaning roles.
• Hospital experience of at least 1 year.
• Proficiency in general labor and janitorial duties.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with environmental services and sanitation protocols.

• Ability to work in environments exposed to bodily fluids and infectious diseases.
• Experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments is preferred.

The hospital provides comprehensive two-week training and supplies all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

This role is based in a hospital environment with exposure to patient rooms and areas containing bodily fluids and infectious diseases. Shifts are available as follows:
First Shift (7am-3:30pm), Second Shift (3pm-11:30pm), and Third Shift (11pm-7:30am). The job requires standing, bending, and moving throughout the day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
