Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts, adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary, cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, and inspects completed repairs to ensure equipment meets specifications.
Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment to meet special needs and serves as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues.
Basic Qualifications- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- At least 2 years of prior machine maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment.
- Experience using basic hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of machine tools, their use, and basic electrical and electronic repairs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of prior machine maintenance experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions, and engineering specifications.
Hourly rate: $28.00 – $29.00. Eligible for an annual performance incentive plan. Base pay is based on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and internal equity.
