Household Packer

Position

$18.00/hour non‑negotiable. Minimum wage. Part-Time position within Senior Services Move Management Team. Packer responsible for packing and unpacking household goods and personal belongings for seniors.

As a Packer, you will be part of a team that helps seniors with downsizing, providing caring and courteous service.

• Use compassion and empathy to support clients during downsizing.
• Pack and unpack household goods and personal belongings by hand, using proper wrapping, stacking, sorting, and packing techniques.
• Inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met.

• Familiarity with proper packing and quality control techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and good judgment; excellent communication skills, including active listening and effective information conveying.
• Superior customer service skills with compassion, empathy, and social perceptivity.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Ability to work indoors in varied environmental conditions.
• Willingness to be on‑call with at least two weeks' notice; commitment to complete each assigned move (typically 2–3 days).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
