Traffic Technician

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Traffic Technician to join our Traffic Engineering team in one of our Mid-Atlantic office locations. Location can be flexible for the right candidate.

• Install and retrieve intrusive (rubber tubes) and non-intrusive (video cameras) traffic counting equipment.
• Perform site visits to document conditions.
• Perform manual vehicle‑occupancy counts and parking surveys.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Must be willing to travel regionally within MD, WV, VA, and NC.
• Night work may occasionally be required.
• 0-5 years’ experience, willing to train.
• Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. of equipment.
• Must be capable of performing outdoor work that requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold, and other conditions.
• Required to run, stop, kneel, and crouch at job sites.
• Computer / Microsoft Office savvy.
