Salary Range: $20.50 To $20.50 Hourly

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, ensures the building is kept clean and orderly according to the cleaning protocol. Follows and maintains a safe, and clean work environment. Performs cleaning duties such as sanitizing floors and removing trash.

• Perform and document cleaning and inspection activities according to the master cleaning schedule.
• Ability to work from heights.
• Follows Custodian Daily Checklist to ensure the facility is kept clean and neat.
• Clean and dust surface areas where needed.
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to written instructions provided.
• Understand and abide by SDS procedures to prevent injuries and damage to floors and fixtures.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Upon completion and certification of training, the Custodian will operate power equipment (i.e., sit-down floor scrubber, pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
• Stock and maintain janitorial supply room and storage areas. Re-stocks supplies such as hair nets, beard nets, ear plugs, and rest room supplies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheet

• Completes daily Material Handling Equipment (MHE) audits identifying any possible safety hazards.

• As defined by operational goals.
• Arrives at the shift briefing meeting place on-time and ready to begin work.
• Team Members arrive and leave work at their scheduled time on each scheduled day.
• Wears appropriate clothing including PPE and Metro Team Wear.
• Full Compliance with Safe MHE Operating Procedures document.
